CHANGES TO RESIDENTIAL/NURSING PAYMENTS

If you have a loved one in a residential or nursing home and the council funds their care and the home has increased its care fees from 1st August 2014, you, or the person in the home should have received a letter from Herefordshire Council’s Adult and Wellbeing Directorate advising you not to make any additional top-up payment directly to the care home.

The increase is due to the Council changing the price paid to residential and nursing home providers for care for people who qualify for local authority funding.
