04 Jan Carers Rights Day 2017
Carers Rights Day 2017
67 Carers attended Carers Rights Day in November 2017 and said that they liked the new format and the opportunity to participate and contribute to discussions and service planning.
Here is a small sample of the 40 comments received from those attending.
It made it even more evident to me that generally the role of unpaid Carers is not recognised. National awareness is very low, needs to be improved.
Thank you to all staff for a thoroughly well organised, realistic and social occasion. As always, sound teamwork won the day.
We had an opportunity to voice our needs as a whole & a chance to have them written down
Carers had an opportunity to have their say & listening to other Carers view and always makes me look at the way I think
Useful opportunity to continue awareness raising and make connections
We would like to thank Allpay who sponsored the event and all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes – we raised £77. Also a big Thank You to Liana Maddocks, the photographer on the day.
Full HCS members should have by now received a copy of the AGM Report if you haven’t, please call 01432 356068.
