Young Carer Clubs and Activities Coordinator

We are looking for a self-motivated, organised individual who is passionate about supporting Young Carers in Herefordshire to have time away from their caring responsibilities in a friendly, non-judgmental environment.

You will need the ability to:

  • fully understand and appreciate the role of a Young Carer and the likely impact of this role on their lives;

  • build strong and trusting relationships with individual Young Carer;

  • plan and deliver a programme of clubs and activities to meet specific outcomes;

  • work productively with volunteers and sessional staff as required; and,

  • collate performance data and feedback from young people for reporting to funders.

You will also need experience or knowledge of health, data protection requirements, safeguarding, social care and/or of being a Carer yourself. You will need to satisfy an enhanced DBS check for this role.

This is a three year fixed term, self-employed position funded by a Children in Need grant awarded to Herefordshire Carers Support to provide clubs and school holiday activities for Young Carers aged 8 – 16 years old.
