Let’s Talk Service by Clinical Team manager Elaine Davis.
Elaine will demonstrate the difference between Mental Health Nursing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The service offers CBT, EMDR, DIT and IPT for Depression and Anxiety Disorders. Treatments offered are NICE guidelines evidence based practice.

Phill is a mental health nurse with nearly 20 years’ experience in Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Forest of Dean and recently Herefordshire. He is happy to answer questions on aspects of mental health care and may try to explain the complexities of the mental health system

Recovery Model by Clinical Psychologist Nancy Black & Assistant Psychologist Karine Adamson
An overview of the ‘Recovery Model’ in mental health, reflecting on the difference between clinical recovery (managing and treating symptoms) and personal recovery (living a meaningful and fulfilling life alongside symptoms), with reference to how this influences the work of a ‘Recovery Team’.

Dementia Awareness by Speech & Language Therapist for the Memory Service, Sam Rowe.
We will discuss what dementia is and how it affects the person with dementia and their carer.
At each session there will be a presentation or talk from a mental health professional and the opportunity to share experiences, talk to a long term carer and develop strategies to help you cope. The sessions will include a comfort break & refreshments.
