A monthly support group for people who provide unpaid support to someone who may be ill, frail, elderly, have a disability or long-term health issue or have mental health issues.
Cares Groups are an opportunity for carers to meet in a safe, confidential space over a cup of tea. Groups provide a chance for Carers to gain information and talk to others who understand.
Speakers are often invited to meetings to talk about issues of interest to carers. This month the group will be discussing ‘Cybercrime‘ with Community Support Officer, Hayley.
Cybercrime is a fast-growing area of crime. More and more criminals are exploiting the speed, convenience and anonymity of the Internet to commit a diverse range of criminal activities that know no borders, either physical or virtual, cause serious harm and pose very real threats to victims worldwide. If you are an unpaid family Carer and would like to know more please come and join us on Monday 25 September.
Carers in Kington meet on the 4th Monday of each month, 1.30 – 2.30pm at the Burton Hotel. Lunch from 12.30pm. Please check before attending.
