21 Jun Herefordshire Disability United discuss ‘Living with Dementia’
Herefordshire Disability United (HDU) would like to invite you to an event on the topic of Dementia which will be held on Wednesday 21st June at Hinton Community Centre, Hereford, 10.30am – 1.00 pm.
They will provide a free buffet lunch during which ample time is allocated to network. The hall is available to us until 2.00 pm for anyone wishing to stay longer.
HDU are working with local staff from the Alzheimer’s Society to bring you an information packed event on living with dementia, the dementia pathway and the support available.
You will hear the about experiences of people living with dementia and the community opportunities which support them to adapt to the changes that dementia brings.
You can find out how communities are coming together to increase understanding and support people affected by dementia.
They will have speakers from the Courtyard Hereford which run activities to support dementia, a community nurse, Herefordshire Carers Support who run 5 week course on Dementia and also a solicitor who can offer advice on the financial implications such as power of attorney. Other information will also be supplied from organisations such as WISH and Crossroads Care.
