21 Sep TRAINING FOR CARERS: Making safeguarding personal
‘We are often hearing about vulnerable people or people at risk in the media – what does this mean for Carers?
These sessions are designed to help Carers to think through some of the potential safeguarding situations that they might find themselves in and to hear how the services might help through the Herefordshire ‘making safeguarding personal’ process.
The discussion will focus on how Making Safeguarding Personal:
- is about having conversations with people in safeguarding situations in a way that enhances involvement, choice and control as well as improving their quality of life, wellbeing and safety.
- is about seeing people as experts in their own lives and working alongside them with the aim of enabling them to reach better resolution of their circumstances.
This training will be delivered by Josephine Cullen of Herefordshire Safeguarding Adults Board.
Alternative date: 11 November 2015, 10.30am – 12.30pm at Herefordshire Carers Support.
