Herefordshire Carers Support believes that family Carers deserve a little extra in recognition of the valuable work they do.
Many businesses are happy to offer concessions for family Carers including reduced or free membership, entry or goods; however proof of being a Carer is needed when you are caring for someone who does not have an obvious disability.
The ‘I Count Card’, issued by Herefordshire Carers Support, is intended to help family Carers identify themselves easily.
It is the same size as a credit card so it can be carried in your wallet or pocket.
Local businesses such as leisure centres, therapists and solicitors have signed up to the scheme and offer various discounts.
The Carers ‘I Count’ Card has also been used by family Carers accompanying the person(s) they care for, to get in free at local theatres, cinemas and even National Trust properties and major attractions such as the London Eye.
The Carers ‘I Count’ Card is free for all unpaid family Carers registered with Herefordshire Carers Support.
