Almeley Womens Institute donates £375

123Earlier this month Trustee Valerie Fitch was invited to Almeley Womens Institute to receive a cheque for £375.

On behalf of Herefordshrie Carers Support Valerie was also handed a personal cheque for £100 from a member of the WI.

This member had been a registered Carer with Herefordshire Carers Support for her Husband before he passed away.  She said she found the KIT magazine important and hopes that we will continue producing it.

th98GPQE6KWe also have to thank another Almeley group, this time the Almeley Wootton Quaker Meeting who very kindly donated £500 to help towards taxi costs for carers to attend our training and events.

This donation is greatly appreciated and will allow us to support carers who otherwise would be unable to attend these events.

In June Kemble at Home helped Herefordshire Carers Support to organise a quiz night to raise funds for our Keeping In Touch (KIT) magazine.

Eight teams took part and it seemed that a good night was had by all.  The winners were Quintet with an amazing score of 74.5.  Well done to them.   In second place was Herefordshire Carers Support’s Trustee team scoring 66 and the booby prize went to the Kemble at Home team, with 37!  We also gave a prize for the best named team which went to Who Dares Cares (who) wins.

Thanks to all of you who took part and we hope to see you again.

CMS London Ltd have also donated £1,000 to help towards KIT magazine costs and this was further boosted by £600 from individual Carers.

We are extremely grateful for this generous donation and would also like to thank the lady golfers who supported Jill during the year.  A fantastic effort – thank you Jill for thinking of us!
